Ministries

Syria Christian Church offers many different types of ministries to the community. From Children's Ministries to Senior Ministries, we have many different kinds of groups to get the community involved in the gospel.

We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ (1 John 1:3).

Other Ministries

Missions Ministry: 'Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,' (Matthew 28:19). We minister to everyone and to take the good news of Jesus to foreign lands and distant places. If you are called to be a part of our Missions Ministry, please contact Doug Johnson at (812) 865-3745.
Homebound and Widows/Widowers Ministry: There are so many members of our church who can no longer come to church services. If you would be willing to take some time and visit them where they are, please let Larry Johnson know at (812) 865-2387.	Benevolence Ministry: 'Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me' (Matthew 25:40). Everyone goes through difficult times. Our goal is to help relieve some of the burdens and help in any way we can. If you are interested in ministering to the needs of others, please call Lee Johnson at (812) 865-3745.
	Media Minsitry: In today's fast-paced world, we need up-to-date equipment and technology. If you're good on a computer and would be interested in learning to run the sound board, we'd love to have you serve on this ministry team. If you would like to serve in this ever-changing ministry, please contact Greg Hamilton at (812) 723-1661.
Building and Grounds Ministry This ministry team is responsible for the ongoing upkeep of the buildings and grounds at Syria Christian Church. If you're handy with a screwdriver and can't be beat with a weed-eater, then have we got a job for you! Call Mike Stalker at (812) 865-3179 if you are interested in helping out.	Cemetery Ministry: If you would like to be involved with cleaning and caring for the cemetery, please call Bill Pickens at (812) 865-3441 or Larry Johnson at (812) 865-2387.
Bell Choir Ministry: The Joy Bell Choir has been such a blessing to the congregation at Syria Christian Church. If you would like to be part of the Joy Bell Choir or have them come visit your church, please contact Debbie Andry at (812) 723-4690 .
Van Ministry: If you are mechanically inclined and would like to service the Church van, or if you would be interested in helping clean the van after trips, please let Loran Wilson know at (812) 865-2358.	Senior Saints Ministry: If you would like to help plan activities for our senior adults, please call Everett Hammons at (812) 723-2301.
	Women's Bible Study: This Bible Study is offered to all women and is taught by Rachel Kelly. If you would be interested in attending, please call Rachel for a meeting schedule at (812) 723-4526 .
